Tyler Wright joined the Southeast Missouri Department of Athletics as Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance & Eligibility in July, 2024.

In his role, Wright provides leadership to the department relative to education, monitoring, enforcement and maintenance for a culture of NCAA compliance. He administers the department's compliance program and directs comprehensive education programs, while maintaining thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and legislative initiatives. Additionally, Wright handles compliance budgets, investigating rules infractions and preparing waivers and annual reports in accordance with Ohio Valley Conference and NCAA regulations.

Before SEMO, Wright was Assistant Athletic Director at Indiana University-Columbus, Assistant Director of Academic Services & Certification at Indiana University, Assistant Registrar for Athletic Compliance & Reporting at Campbell University and Athletic Admissions Counselor at Union College in Kentucky.

Wright, who hails from Lebanon, Kentucky, has been actively involved in several professional organizations throughout his career. He is presently a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC). Wright previously served as a member of the N4A Academic Programs & Practices Committee during his time at Indiana University and the Faculty Athletic Committee at Campbell University.

He earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and Master of Science in Recreation & Sport Administration at Western Kentucky. Wright began his higher education journey when he received his Associate of Arts degree at Kaskaskia College in Illinois.

Wright and his wife, Megan, have a daughter, Kennedy, and two dogs, Rupp and Wrigley.
