
Billy Wurch Hired as Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coach

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri announced the hiring of Billy Wurch as the baseball strength coach Monday.Â

Wurch joins SEMO after being a graduate assistant sports performance coach at Arizona State University. At ASU he worked with the ice hockey team where he led and designed a comprehensive strength and conditioning program. He also served as the secondary strength coach for baseball where he oversaw lift and conditioning sessions for pitching and non-travel groups for the baseball team. Wurch earned his Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from ASU.Â

Before Arizona State, Wurch played baseball at Butler University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Human Movement and Health Sciences. He was also a strength and conditioning intern with the Bulldogs where he designed and executed sports performance training programs for the freshman football program.
